Selangor Youth Community Celebrates Young Entrepreneurs at SAY ASPIRE 6th Edition Grand Finale. | On September 11, 2025, I had the chance to follow the exciting journey of SAY ASPIRE, Selangor Youth Community’s flagship entrepreneurship program that has been shaping young business leaders for six years now.

This year’s SAY ASPIRE 6th Edition Grand Finale was extra special — not only did it gather some of the most promising youth entrepreneurs in Selangor, but it was also graced by His Highness Tengku Amir Shah, Raja Muda of Selangor, who personally officiated the event and honored the winners. 

What is SAY ASPIRE?

For those who may not know, SAY ASPIRE was initiated by His Highness Tengku Amir Shah through Selangor Youth Community (SAY). The program is all about nurturing innovation, resilience, and the entrepreneurial spirit among the youth of Selangor.

Over the years, participants have gone through intensive workshops, mentorship programs, and pitch competitions — all designed to give them the right tools, exposure, and confidence to take their businesses to greater heights.

This 6th edition was supported by MATRADE (Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation), alongside sponsors like Google, App Engage, and previous winner Dr Anne Skincare (DASC). Their involvement ensures that the participants aren’t just ready for local growth but are also equipped to explore international markets.

The Grand Finale: Pitch Day

After multiple rounds of selection, only 10 companies made it to the final stage, where they pitched their ideas and business models in front of a panel of esteemed judges, including: 

1. His Highness Tengku Amir Shah, Raja Muda of Selangor 
2. YB Mohd Najwan Halimi, EXCO for Youth, Sports, Entrepreneurship & Creative Economy of Selangor 
3. Dr. Noor Amy Ismail, COO of Malaysia Venture Capital Management (MAVCAP) 
4. En. Naim Abdul Rahman, Director of Export Academy, MATRADE 
5. Mr. Aw Joo Leng, Group GM of Business Development, Sri Ternak Group of Companies 

The finalists came from diverse industries — from F&B to fashion, wellness, healthcare, and even medical devices. It was inspiring to see how creative and passionate these young entrepreneurs are.

And the Winners Are… 

After an intense round of pitching, the Top 3 winners of SAY ASPIRE 2025 were announced:

🥇 Drims Trading Sdn Bhd – Medical Devices 

🥈 Gritz Sdn Bhd – Wellness & Aromatherapy 

🥉 MTO Resources – Innovative Business Solutions

Special mentions also go to Boohaci Infinity Sdn Bhd (F&B – snacks & cookies) and Lotus Cofy House Sdn Bhd (F&B – frozen desserts), who secured strong positions in the Top 5.

What Do They Win? 

Besides the recognition, the winners are taking home some very exciting rewards, including: 

• Grants worth RM10,000 (1st), RM7,000 (2nd), and RM5,000 (3rd) 
• Market visit trips overseas for business promotion and negotiations 
• 6 months of personalized mentorship under SAY ASPIRE+ 
• Booth space worth RM10,000 each at the Malaysia International Halal Showcase 
• Networking opportunities with industry leaders & agencies 
• Plus, a trophy and certificate to mark their achievement
