Recently I participated in a Fam Trip program to Langkawi for 5 days and 4 nights. Alhamdulillah, everything went smoothly. In this article, I will share our experience at our first accommodation location, Hangouts Urban + Eco, Langkawi.
Collaboration with IKEA Malaysia
Hangouts Urban + Eco, also known as Hangouts Langkawi, is a unique family accommodation. The Urban + Eco concept combines urban architecture with an eco-friendly environment. Designed and furnished by IKEA Malaysia, the accommodation here can accommodate up to 8 family members at a time, making it suitable for family vacations.

As mentioned earlier, each unit has its own unique theme, all designed and furnished by IKEA Malaysia.
Family Suite at Hangouts Langkawi
For our stay here, we stayed in the Family Suite accommodation. The men stayed in the ZEN HOSHINOYA unit while the women stayed in the MARRAKESH unit. It's worth noting that these units can accommodate a maximum of 8 people. Other themes for units include Langkawi Island, The Seven Mile, Cayman Island, Malibu Beach, Santorini, and more.

MARRAKESH
The Marrakesh unit resembles a place in Morocco. It features luxurious design, furnished by IKEA Malaysia. What's available in this unit?

This unit is indeed beautiful, with striking wall colors and carefully arranged furniture resembling an IKEA showroom.
ZEN HOSHINOYA
✅ Two spacious bedrooms, each accommodating 4 guests
✅ Two comfortable bathrooms
✅ A living room complete with TV, sofa, and more
✅ Dining table for 8 people
✅ Fully equipped pantry
✅ Ironing facilities
✅ Ceiling fan and air conditioning
The soothing wall colors and calming interior decorations make this unit very comfortable to stay in. Spending time in the living room and pantry area besides sleeping in the bedrooms is a delightful experience.
Studio Suite at Hangout Langkawi
For smaller families of 4, Studio Suites are available. Each unit has its own theme, such as Copacabana, Casablanca, Miami Beach, Grand Canaria, Bermuda Island, and more.
Although smaller in size compared to Family Suites, one attraction for this type of accommodation is the swimming pool right in front of each unit's entrance.

Facilities at Hangouts Langkawi
Now, let me tell you about some of the interesting facilities available at Hangouts Urban + Eco Langkawi, specifically for guests and visitors.
WAVE Clubhouse
Upon entering Hangouts Urban + Eco, you will see a building with the WAVE logo. This is a clubhouse specially designed for guests and visitors here. The clubhouse is complete with resting areas, games, and more.
Special Kitchen Areas
Cooking is not allowed in each accommodation unit. So where do you cook? Don't worry, Hangouts Langkawi has provided 6 special kitchen areas for you to cook!
Interestingly, these kitchens look similar to what we can see in IKEA showrooms. Equipped with all necessary utensils. The usage fee for these kitchens is RM30 per hour.
Swimming Pool
✅ Main Pool: Suitable for those who want to swim leisurely. The pool is surrounded by comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas, making it an ideal place to relax and sunbathe.
✅ Children's Pool: A shallow pool suitable for young children to play in. The pool is designed with a fun and safe environment, making it an exciting place for children to play and have fun.
✅ Infinity Pool: This pool is exclusive to the 16 Studio Suite units. Only guests staying there can use this pool. Those who want intimate time with their partners can book a suite and enjoy private time in the pool.
Other Facilities
For entertainment and children's activities, two types of playgrounds are available: indoor and outdoor playgrounds. If the weather is hot, you can play in the indoor playground surrounded by glass and equipped with air conditioning.
Beautiful, Luxurious, and Unique Accommodation
Alhamdulillah, the accommodation at Hangouts Langkawi is indeed very comfortable. Each unit with its own theme is a unique feature. Meanwhile, the luxurious interior decorations make anyone feel happy staying here.
