Based on Solid Waste Corporation (SWCorp), Malaysian throw away 15,000 tan of food wastage everyday. The quantity of the food wastage is equivalent to the quantity of of needed by 10 million people. SWCorp do found that 60% of the food wastage are usually the good food. This is actually a big amount of number/wastage we should aware of.

Producing, distributing, storing and cooking food uses energy, fuel and water. Each of these emits greenhouse gases contributing to climate change. Decomposition process of the food wastage also produce methane gas that would effect the global warming. So no wonder our world is getting hot nowadays right? If we stopped throwing this good food away it would save the equivalent of at least 17 million tons of carbon dioxide, the same positive benefit as taking 1 in every 4 cars off our roads. Thus, if we can reduce buying the unwanted items, we can help to reduce the production of unwanted food thus helping the world to be a better place.
