IKEA Damansara Hacks! | IKEA Damansara is a popular IKEA store located in Malaysia. It is situated in the Damansara area of Petaling Jaya, Selangor. IKEA Damansara was the first IKEA store opened in Malaysia after they moved from One Utama shopping center.


This place was fond of me as I stayed in Damansara for the past 11 years and I had experience working as one of the Food Co-Workers in here. It was a fun and really good experience working they.


What to do in IKEA Damansara?

Visiting here can be a fun and exciting experience, offering more than just shopping for furniture and home decor. Here are some enjoyable activities and things you can do while in here:

1. Explore the Showrooms: Take a leisurely stroll through the various showrooms to get inspiration for your home. IKEA showcases different room setups, styles, and space-saving solutions that can spark your creativity.

2. Try the Cafeteria: IKEA's cafeteria offers a range of affordable and delicious Swedish and local dishes. Don't miss trying their famous meatballs with lingonberry sauce and other Swedish specialties.

3. Kids' Play Area: If you have children, head to Småland, IKEA's supervised play area, where kids can have fun while you shop. This service is usually free for children above a certain height and age.

4. Shop for Home Essentials: Of course, shopping for furniture, home accessories, and kitchenware is one of the main activities at IKEA. You can find a wide variety of products to enhance your living space.

Store will be open every day from Monday – Sunday, 10am – 10pm

Shoppers also can have more time to shop longer as they extend their store operating hours every Saturday, Sunday and public holidays as below:

IKEA Damansara Store – 10am to 11pm
IKEA Restaurant – 9.30am to 10.30pm
Grab & Go (Food) – 10am – 8.30pm
Bistro – 9.30am to 11pm
SFM – 9.30am to 11pm
IKEA Café – 8.30am – 9.30pm

SURAU OPENING HOURS 

Muslims who want to perform their prayer can go to IKEA Damansara Surau which opens every day at 10am - 10pm beside IKEA restaurant. You also can go to Lotus Damansara Surau at the Foodcourt Area or The Curve Surau at 3rd Floor near New York Skin Solution.

SMÅLAND OPENING HOURS

Smaland is a play area for kids between the height of 100cm to 130cm which is sanitized daily.

As a precautionary measure, below are the conditions for entry:
  • They are only able to accept 9 kids per co-worker on duty.
  • General health check will be performed.
  • Child's temperature above 37.5 C is not allowed to enter.
  • Toilet trained.
  • Each entry is limited to a maximum of one hour of play per session.
  • Monday - Sunday 10am - 9.30pm
