2) MAKLANG MATLI'S NASI KUKUS AYAM BEREMPAH

When we mention spiced steamed chicken rice, the first thing that comes to mind is that you can find it anywhere. The menu is quite popular among Malaysians, especially among the Malay community.

So, what makes Maklang Matli's Nasi Kukus Ayam Berempah special? Interestingly, the spices that they used are definitely delicious and I can say different from what I tasted before. The sambal also one of you must have that complements the dishes very well.

Each piece of chicken served is full of spices and has a 'juicy' taste. Additionally, for food enthusiasts, dining at this restaurant itself is interesting, as there are two levels for customers to enjoy their meals.

On the upper level, there are places to sit cross-legged and also places to eat on tables. The decoration is quite attractive, reminiscent of being in a classic Malay traditional house, evoking a sense of love for the culture.

In addition to the nasi kukus menu, there are several other interesting dishes to try, such as Kedah laksa, rice vermicelli soup, and more. So, if you are in the Baling area, don't forget to stop by and try the delicious dishes here.

Located right in the middle of Baling town, Mat Noi Toasted Bread Stall Route 67 is a very popular breakfast spot. Its strategic location is one of the reasons why this restaurant has gained the attention of the public for breakfast.

Presenting the concept of dining in the forest, this restaurant places its beautiful dining area where customers can enjoy their meals while listening to the sounds of the forest and admiring the beauty of Mount Baling.

There are various menus to try here, and most of them are Western breakfast items such as toasted bread, roasted peanuts, egg-covered toast, and more. Don't worry, I myself have tried the menus here, and Alhamdulillah, everything is delicious!

Who here is an avid fan of ikan pekasam(pickled fish)? If there is no pickled fish on the menu, your side dishes might be incomplete right? Did you know that besides fish, mushrooms can also be pickled? Okay, I also just know it.

5) THE CASUAL-WARONG SANTAI-SANTAI

The last location is actually not situated in Baling but we had a good meal here. The Casual-Warong Santai-Santai is located in Sungai Petani, Kedah and we stopped here while waiting for our ETS departure back to Kuala Lumpur.

During lunch hour they served mixed rice for the customers and they are famous with their roti canai for breakfast hour.

For those of you who may be around Sungai Petani and are looking for a delicious lunch spot, you can come to The Casual-Warong Santai-Santai. Its location is near Masjid Taman Keladi; here, you can enjoy various mixed rice dishes, hot dishes, and also roti canai.
