AEON Celebrates Deepavali with Largest Participants Wearing Indian Attire at AEON Mall Bukit Raja, Klang. | Deepavali is another celebration in Malaysia that will be celebrated very happening every year. And as Malaysians, having different traditional attire is always a part of us living in this multiracial country.


I remember during my Kindergarten, I made a performance of Indian dancing and still remember one of the phrases for that dancing song. hihi. It is fun when we live in a multiracial country and got to learn many things about the other races culture.

This year, AEON CO. (M) BHD. (AEON), in collaboration with Colours of India Creation and Global Mega Exhibition has set another milestone as the nation’s record holder for organising the “Largest Participants Wearing Indian Attire in A Gathering” by The Malaysia Book of Records following its Deepavali gathering event held at AEON Mall Bukit Raja, Klang.

The event was graced by Charles Santiago, Members of Parliament Klang and Keiji Ono, Managing Director of AEON. Also present at the ceremony was G V Sathia Kumaran, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Colours of India Creation and Global Mega Exhibition, as well as the representative from the Malaysia Book of Records.

More than 2500 customers from all races and ages donned with Indian attires visited the mall to participate in the national record-breaking event. It is also enlivened with more than 60 booths selling Deepavali festivities items and various other fun-filled activities such as local artist performances and lucky draws. Lucky draws also include RM2000 Poh Kong voucher and also air-fryer for the winner.

This gathering will be recorded in the Malaysia Book of Records as the “Largest
Participants Wearing Indian Attire in A Gathering”. Last year AEON also recorded two events in the Malaysian Book of Records for “Largest Participation in A Virtual Zumba Event” which was held during the MCO and ‘Most Number of Outlets Participating in National Anthem Singing Simultaneously’ for 2021 National Day celebration.


It was a fun and very happening event as the show are happening all day. AEON also gaves the opportunity to give MAF Kotak Bersamamu to the needed.

Apart of that, there also an appearance from the famous Shrutika Arjun that day and also other artists. The event also were grace with Diya Lighting Ceremony by the VIP.

This initiative is in line with AEON’s efforts in championing the United Nations
Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG). Among them is the Peace, Justice and
Strong Institutions (SDG 16) which is to ensure a just, peaceful and inclusive society and Good Health and Wellbeing (SDG 3) ensuring healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
