This is a tram that is touted as one of the oldest in the world.

After decades of service, the tram was finally discontinued as other public transport developed. The last tram stopped in 1961 in the European part of Istanbul and in 1966 in the Asian part of Istanbul.

The tram was then parked in the museum until in the late 1990s this ancient tram was removed from the museum, redecorated and re-used to transport passengers on the Tunnel-Taksim route.

Turkey malaysia tOURISM AGENCIES,

Izham Istar is the first Malay to open a travel company in Turkey under the name ATN Tourism & Travel Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd or simply ATN Travel. After living in Turkey and several other countries for 20 years, Izham returned to Malaysia to open ATN Travel and also opened a branch in Indonesia.

Through his experience in the country, the Turks were a nation that did not dare to try and explore new places. Areas such as Sanliurfa, Harran, Adana and Tarsus are also often tarnished by the West as a so-called terrorist hotspot as it borders Syria and Iraq.

"Because of that, these areas are not famous and are 'feared' by tourists. In fact, the area is safe to visit and even offers its own uniqueness and natural beauty, ”he said.

Izham, who is fluent in Turkish and Russian, focuses his company's services on other travel agencies, corporates, VIPs and TV stations that want to cover there. Various challenges he faced including when the world was hit by the Covic-19 pandemic but ATN Travel continued to survive.

"ATN Travel is not big but has always been consistent and continues to be in the industry. For 25 years, the name has never changed and I remain as its founder. Big or small the company is not a measure because what matters is it can continue to survive and be known to this day. Regardless of the crisis and problems, I will continue to maintain the company's name and maintain the existing business concept, "he said.

Starting his career in tourism and hospitality in Turkey leading up to the establishment of ATN Travel there, his main rivals were the Turks who were known for their attitude of always wanting to ‘win’ in competition.

"The situation makes me strong and not afraid of challenges. Many friends among the Turks also facilitate my business dealings to several other countries in West Asia because they are people who like to travel. "Everywhere I go, there are friends who wait and help," he said.
